Zumee ("Zumee", "we", "us", "our") is an AI assistant that builds and updates professional CVs from voice and chat. These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Zumee website, application and related services (together, the "Service").

The Service is operated by:

By creating a session, paying for a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of your agreement with us.

Service – the Zumee voice/chat CV builder, AI photo processing, design templates, PDF generation and related features.

  • Smart Builder – the one-time plan that lets you build and download a CV.

  • Living CV – the annual subscription plan with voice updates and additional features.

  • Session – your use of Zumee. You start anonymously; you provide an email address at the point of payment so we can give you access and your receipt.

  • Content – everything you give us during a Session, including your voice recordings, text, uploaded documents (e.g. an old CV) and photos, and the CV that Zumee produces from them.

  • Locked Vault – the state your CV enters after the 24-hour edit window closes, when it becomes final.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. The age you select during onboarding is used only to adapt the tone and structure of the conversation; it does not change this requirement.

If you are under 18, in many jurisdictions you have limited legal capacity to enter into a paid contract. By purchasing a plan you confirm that you are legally able to do so, or that a parent or guardian has agreed on your behalf.

Zumee interviews you through a short voice or chat conversation and turns your answers into a structured, recruiter-ready CV. Depending on your plan, the Service may include:

  • a guided AI interview that asks follow-up questions and structures your experience;

  • transcription of your voice and correction of obvious grammar and phrasing;

  • import of an existing CV (e.g. PDF) and extraction of its content;

  • the AI Photo Studio (see Section 8);

  • a selection of design layouts and colour palettes;

  • generation of a high-resolution PDF;

  • for Living CV: ongoing voice updates, multiple CV versions, a cover-letter generator and proactive coaching during the interview.

The languages currently supported by the Service are shown in-product at the start of a Session. We may add, change or remove features over time.

No outcome is guaranteed. Zumee is a tool that helps you present your experience well. We do not promise that using Zumee will result in interviews, job offers or any particular outcome.

5. Anonymous sessions, email and access

You can start and build your CV anonymously. We ask for an email address at the point of payment, and we may send you a sign-in link ("magic link") to that address so you can access your purchase.

You are responsible for keeping access to that email account and not sharing your sign-in link. We are not responsible for loss of access caused by an email account you no longer control, or by a link you have shared with others.

The Service relies on artificial intelligence, including automated speech-to-text and language models. You understand and accept that:

  • AI output can contain errors, omissions or misinterpretations, including mis-hearing what you said;

  • you are responsible for reviewing and verifying every part of your CV before you rely on it, download it or send it to anyone;

  • claims about formatting being "ATS-ready" describe our best effort to follow common best practices (standard headings, real text rather than text inside images). We cannot guarantee compatibility with every applicant-tracking system, recruiter or third-party platform;

  • you can correct anything Zumee got wrong; the final accuracy of your CV is your responsibility.

We do not use your Content to train AI models without your consent. How we handle your data, including voice recordings, is described in our Privacy Policy.

You keep ownership of your Content. Your career information and the final CV you produce belong to you.

To provide the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transcribe, analyse and transform your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you (for example, transcribing your voice, extracting your skills, generating your PDF and storing it for the period described in Section 12).

You confirm that:

  • the information you provide is, to your knowledge, true and accurate, and not misleading;

  • you have the right to use and share any document, image or other material you upload;

  • your Content does not infringe anyone's rights and is not unlawful.

You are solely responsible for the truthfulness of what you put on your CV.

8. AI Photo Studio

8. AI Photo Studio

If you choose to use the AI Photo Studio, you can provide a selfie or photo, which we process to remove the background, improve lighting and produce a headshot suitable for a CV. The result is generated with AI and is labelled as AI-assisted in-product.

By using this feature you confirm that the photo is of you (or that you have permission to use it), and you accept that the processed image is an AI-altered representation. Any "professional attire" option is off by default, optional, and produces a smart-casual result rather than a literal photograph of you in that clothing.

We currently offer:

Smart Builder - €6 - one-time payment
Living CV - €30 - per year (subscription)


What each plan includes is described on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time. Changes to prices do not affect a one-time purchase you have already paid for, or the current term of a subscription you have already started.

Payment processing. Payments are handled by Stripe, our third-party payment processor (including, where available, Apple Pay and Google Pay). When you pay, you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not receive or store your full card details.

Currency and VAT. The currency shown may be determined by your location. Prices are shown inclusive of any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.

The Living CV plan is an annual subscription.

  • It runs for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Unless you cancel, it renews automatically for further 12-month terms, and the payment method on file is charged at the then-current price.

  • You can cancel at any time before a renewal from your account or by contacting us at [contact email]. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not, by itself, refund the current term (see Section 11).

  • If we change the renewal price, we will tell you in advance and you will have the chance to cancel before it applies.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract.

Smart Builder (one-time, instant digital content). Because the Service delivers digital content immediately, at checkout we ask you to:

  1. give your express consent for the CV to be generated and made available straight away, and

  2. acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once generation begins.

If you give that consent and we start generating your CV, your statutory right of withdrawal no longer applies.

12. The Locked Vault and storage period

After payment you have a 24-hour edit window to make corrections. When that window closes, your CV enters the Locked Vault and becomes final for that purchase.

We then store your finished CV for 60 days, so you can download it again during that time. After 60 days it may be permanently deleted. Zumee is not a backup or long-term storage service — please keep your own copy of any downloaded file.

The Living CV plan keeps your CV editable and stored for the duration of your active subscription.

13. Intellectual property

We (or our licensors) own the Service, including the Zumee software, brand, name, logo, the waveform design, the templates, layouts and the design system. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use them only as part of using the Service.

You own the content of your CV and the final PDF you generate, and you may use it freely for your own job search and professional purposes. You may not resell our templates as standalone design assets or strip them out to build a competing product.

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to create false, fraudulent or deceptive documents;

  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful or that you have no right to use;

  • upload a photo of someone else without their permission;

  • attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service;

  • resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or remove access if you breach this section.

15. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including (among others):

  • Stripe – payment processing;

  • speech-to-text and AI providers used to transcribe and process your conversation;

  • Google Analytics and PostHog – product analytics, to understand and improve how the Service is used.

These providers process data under their own terms. How we use cookies and analytics, and the legal basis for each, is described in our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the independent practices of third-party providers, but we choose them with care.

16. Service availability and "as is"

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will always be present. We may carry out maintenance, change features, or temporarily suspend the Service.

This does not affect any guarantee or quality you are entitled to as a consumer under applicable law.

17. Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, lost job offers, or loss caused by errors in AI-generated content that you did not review and correct;

  • our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

18. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where it is fair and lawful to do so, we will give you notice.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example intellectual property, liability and governing law) will continue to apply.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements or changes to our plans. We will post the updated version with a new "last updated" date and, where the change is significant, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Governing law, consumer rights and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you live.

If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in your country of residence, and you keep the protections of your local law.
